Great Falls Culture.com began as an experiment by local webmaster and photographer Tim Austin (Austin Designs). The webdesigner / photographer noticed that there was a thriving underground art scene in Great Falls, MT, yet the community-at-large, including budding artists, musicians, businesses and children, were not aware of exhibits, performances, and educational opportunities. Tim Austin realized that a unifying website and promoting First Friday Art Walk through Great Falls Culture.com could bring the arts to Great Falls, MT in a productive and inspiring way. Tim believed that advertising and promoting a monthly event such as the First Friday Art Walk would improve the quality of life of every Great Falls, MT resident.
Tim Austin, and Jeni Dodd created a volunteer board to establish more interest in First Friday Artwalk and within a month, adverting was in place on Austin Designs website Great Falls Culture.com and The Great Falls Tribune's print ad "Hot Ticket" used to break ground on advertising and promoting Downtown Great Falls. Even though NO funding and/or contributions from citizens, businesses, and/or city grants, were provided they continued to push forward. First Friday Art Walk continues to provide a communal presence to help local artists, musicians thrive, and unlock the artistic potential of every Great Falls, MT resident.
